I was thinking today about the stories of people accidently being buried alive only to wake up later and die six feet under. I was also thinking that our method for determining if someone is dead or not hasn't changed much. "Is it breathing? Does it have a pulse?" If not, we assume it's dead, but that's clearly not always the case as historical evidence shows us. It makes me wonder how many people are killed each year from the embalming process. It also makes me think that we embalm people just to make sure they're good and dead. No mistakes. Anyway... Feel free to correct me if this doesn't make any sense... I don't know. I'm not even sure my English skills are fully operational at the moment, it's after 1 in the morning. I should be asleep.
